Our field experiment for the Avatar Symbiotic Society Project, which took place at the Osaka-Kansai Expo Signature Pavilion \u201cFuture of Life\u201d from April 13th to October 13th, 2025, has successfully accomplished.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to all those who cooperated with us and participated in this long-term experiment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

184-Day Challenge: Turning the Expo into a \u201cLIVE field of research\u201d<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

We, the Deep Interaction Science (DIL) utilized the entire duration of the Expo as a valuable opportunity for long-term field experiment, introducing cutting-edge research and development achievements into the pavilion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Running the full 184-day period at this venue exploring the future \u201cthe way of life\u201d marked a significant step toward realizing an Avatar Symbiotic Society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over 600,000 people have experienced \u201cThe Future of Life\u201d<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

  • Avatar Ride Share Tour Viewers:<\/strong> Over 11,065 viewers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Over 600,000 people experienced the \u201cAvatar Symbiotic Society,\u201d providing an opportunity to contemplate the \u201cFuture of Life.\u201d
    For those unable to visit the venue, we conducted Avatar Ride-Share Tours, where robots served as avatars to tour the pavilions, allowing participants to experience the \u201cFuture of Life\u201d from the robot\u2019s perspective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Our Hero Robots, Wonderful Work! And now, we are going to the next stage.<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

    On the 14th, after the Expo closed, members gathered to prepare for dismantling. The robots that supported this long-term demonstration experiment will return to ATR on October 16th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    To our Wonderful Robots, you\u2019ve worked incredibly hard for 184 days! And thank you so much for your effort!!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The valuable insights and data gained at this Expo will be fully leveraged in our future research and development toward realizing an Avatar Symbiotic Society and a sustainable future society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
