{"id":779,"date":"2011-11-26T19:28:57","date_gmt":"2011-11-26T10:28:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.irc.atr.jp\/en\/?page_id=779"},"modified":"2018-11-07T11:55:44","modified_gmt":"2018-11-07T02:55:44","slug":"driving-assessment","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/czerny.irc.atr.jp\/en\/research-projects\/human_beh_ana\/driving-assessment","title":{"rendered":"Driving Assessment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-958\" title=\"drv_title02\" src=\"\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/drv_title02.jpg\" alt=\"drv_title02\" width=\"568\" height=\"193\" srcset=\"http:\/\/czerny.irc.atr.jp\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/drv_title02.jpg 568w, http:\/\/czerny.irc.atr.jp\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/drv_title02-300x101.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 568px) 100vw, 568px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Overview<\/h2>\n<p>We are developing an automatic driving assessment advising system based on safety driving experts and the use of small gyro-sensors, with the aim of preventing driving accidents.<\/p>\n<h2>Aim<\/h2>\n<p>\u25cfWe are developing and implementing a learning program to support elderly persons and beginner drivers that can be used to measure and understand his or her driving skill objectively.<\/p>\n<h2>Technology<\/h2>\n<p>\u25cfBy attaching a small wireless sensor to a hat or shoe, driving activity can be measured easily and without the need for a special car. Using data accumulated from these sensors, the system automatically analyzes and evaluates the person\u2019s driving skills.<\/p>\n<p>By this, it becomes possible to judge the correctness of the operation evaluation system against an instructor\u2019s subjective evaluation.
